So I Married A Movie Geek - Episode 15 - Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

August 10th, 2010

Everyone's seen 'Temple of Doom,' right? Well, Krissy hadn't. So we watched it annnnd talked about it a whole bunch. Discussion includes Justin saying "like" a whole lot (he blames stupidity/cold medicine), what really happened with Krissy & her hatred of 'Raiders of the Lost Ark,' which 2 characters will forever be known as Blanket Jackson & Tater Tots, what to do (or not do) when served monkey brains for dessert, the dangers of getting a beer with Mola Ram, the stupidity of a bulimic army & much more. Rated PG-13 because we also talk about child slavery & hearts being torn from people's chest cavities. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

My prime movie watching days were in the 80s and 90s so this is a podcast built for me. Love hearing reactions from both seeing the movie for the first time and for the look back on how you remember it.

Also the modern movies like Inception are great to to mix it up. Would love to hear more about what directors have to say when you are privy to those screenings.

Also wanted to say thanks for cluing me in to flickchart.com. I love ranking movies but as a graphic designer I really like seeing all the different and foreign versions of the posters.

I know you go where the Netflix gods take you but here are some movies suggestions anyway: Dead Poets Society, Sex, Lies and Videotape, Joe versus the Volcano(a Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan movie that gets no love) and Breakfast Club(I saw this wayyyyy too many times.)

Thanks for helping to make my day at work bearable.
