Scary movie month continues! This time with 2 classics from the genre that happened to become cult films years after their initial release in 1982 - The Thing and Halloween III: Season of the Witch! FREDDY IS BACK! At least, he's back on our ole podcast for the 1st time in years as we start the horror movie month of October a day early by discussing the Krueger twofer of A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985) and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)!! And because we didn't want to go through this alone, we joined up multiplayer-style with one of our besties, Evan Goldstein! Dreeaaaaaaam warrioooorssss!!! What did Krissy think about these 2 movies, which of course, she had never seen before now? But most importantly, did she STAY AWAKE?!?!? It's a Stephen King double feature this week! And we're discussing 2 of the absolute worst movies he's ever been associated with - MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE (1986) and THE LAWNMOWER MAN (1992)!! And surprise, surprise - Krissy hadn't even heard of these movies before. So pick your poison - would you rather be brutally assaulted by vending machines & stalked by large Green Goblin-faced trucks OR be freakishly raped in a virtual reality sex game? Because there is no middle ground when it comes to these crazy ass flicks!! Which one did we like best? Or was it a terrible draw? You'll have to listen!
