EPISODE 100!! Holy crap we made it! Without killing each other! So we celebrate by finally forcing Krissy to watch all 3 of the Lord of the Rings movies for the very first time! FINALLY! And guess what? It only took TEN FRIGGIN' DAYS! Did we mention we watched the Extended Editions? Cause we did! And it took FOREVER. If you're looking for a serious discussion about LOTR, you've come to the wrong place. If you want to hear 2 people talk about Frodo acting like a wuss, Gandalf changing colors inexplicably, the dastardly villains Sourman and Sourpuss, Friends #1 and #2, Gollum's similarities to a family member, Lunesta dragons, lots of walking and then battles and then more walking... Plus impressions aplenty, YOU SHALL NOT PASS this opportunity to join in the celebration! Rated PG-13ish with only a few bouts of swearing and juvenile humor about where to hide your RING!

We've also got the lowdown on stalking your favorite author/actor/famous person (Misery style), how (not) to get in trouble for poking your students, and the inside track on Carol Smith!! Talkative Southern women in a hair salon vs. faking your own death to get away from your psycho husband with a mysterious mustache!!! Duh duh DUH!!!!! PLUS...Julia Roberts double feature! DUH! Which movie - Steel Magnolias vs. Sleeping with the Enemy - did Krissy enjoy more the 1st time up?? Is she the last female drama nerd to see the former? Does Shirley MacClaine actually believe in aliens? What is up with Julia Roberts' mommy haircut in that movie? Or either movie? We talk a lot about hair. Like The Lawnmower Man's hair! And making terrible decisions when faking your death. And don't forget...organizing all hand towels and canned goods! It's all rather scientific AND PG-13 but skirts towards R territory because of someone's potty mouth. Guess who that is????

This week, your favorite movie geek couple hunker down for three - count 'em, 3! - Marvel comic movies... One of which may or may not currently be the biggest movie in the world. (MOVIE SMASH!!!) Iron Man 2, Thor and The Avengers! It might have been too much super awesomness for our ADHD-riddled brains to process though, as we were easily sidetracked by things like closed captioning devices, bright phones, and the MOST ANNOYING children ever to have gone to the theater. ("Huhuhuhuhuh...YEAH!!" "Daaaaddy, is it ooooover yet?") Crazy people that we wanted to sock in the face aside, it was a good ride. Join us as we discuss our favorite superhero(es), the lusciousness (or is it grunginess?) of Thor Hemsworth's hair, extra credit scenes and all things Robert Downey Jr. This podcast would be rated PG-13, were it not for liberal use of the F-word. Monsters, Graboids, and Critters - oh my!! This week is all about 80s cult classic movies Monster Squad, Tremors, and Critters... But J and K really boil it down and talk about the important stuff: dinosaurs in Elizabethan collars, furry red-eyed-rolling testicles, playing skip-it against giant burrowing penis worms (who are really just misunderstood and need a friend), and the merit of swimming against the vortex a la Van Helsing. Ahem. WHY ARE WE ALLOWED TO HAVE CHILDREN?? Our poor baby will be forced to watch crazy movies and be party to mom and dad's even crazier recap. What dreams/nightmares may come! Ohh, the shenanigans that will ensue. In the meantime, enjoy this PG-13ish podcast!

Yes, she popped her Jason Voorhees cherry! But he might not be happy after she totally calls him out for being FAT during the podcast! MAIN NOTE: Go see Cabin, guys! It's finally happened. No, not the much-prophesied 2012 Mayan end of the world (we gotta hold on for August!), but something SO MUCH MORE EPIC. Wait for it... Wait for it... JUSTIN SAW TITANIC WITH KRISSY! IN A REAL THEATRE! IN 3D!! IMAX 3D!!! OMGGGGG!!!! Did he love it? Did he finally have a drunk-on-love-James Cameron-induced epiphany? Or did Krissy just tape his eyes open and force him to take it (and spit!) like a man? Actually, Justin was a great sport. Just don't ask him about his feelings about a certain Italian secondary character whose name sounds like a common household air freshener. Then he'll get super ornery and so fixated that he can't even remember who love interest Helga was (even though she was apparently in every scene)! Also included in this podcast: everything you've EVER wanted to know about Titanic the movie, Krissy's obsession, the disaster and ship itself, and famous Titanic historian Don (plus lesser-known Abyss and Contact historian brothers Ron and Lawon, respectively). NERDS!!!!!!!!!!!!! We continue the momentum from our most highly listened month EVER on SIMAMG by tripling down with a NERD TRIPLE FEATURE! And all 3 are from the 80s, Krissy's favorite decade! (Not really) Which one did she like best? Was it Ghostbusters 2, Revenge of the Nerds or Short Circuit? Would you believe us when you find out she didn't fall asleep during any of them?!? Four movies. One podcast. Ohh, this one's a doozy, folks. And did we mention that our marquee movie is The Hunger Games? There's a reason this week's podcast is so long - when it comes to talking about the Games, THERE ISN'T ENOUGH TIME IN THE WORLD! Also, Justin would argue that Krissy is a big ol' neeeeerd and felt the need to make a bullet point list about all her Hunger Games likes and gripes. That definitely took some time. But you know what? It's worth it; this podcast has always been aaaallll about critical thinking and in-depth analyses... Ahem. And on that note, we also saw three other movies: Battle Royale, 21 Jump Street, and the original Lethal Weapon. And we discuss them for a gloriously deep 5 mins each. So if you want to know everything there is to know about Katniss, Peeta, Glimmer the Muttation Dog, Haymitch the (non?) Drunkard, why Japanese schoolgirls insist on talking like squeaky coloraturas, and/or the comedic stylings of Channing Tatum or Gary Busey, listen!
